Settelers from "Jil'ad" Attack Newly Reclaimed Agricultural Lands Targeted by LRC in Sarra Village - Nablus |

Land Research Center (LRC) has indicated that Israeli colonists from the outpost of Jil’ad have uprooted a number of trees belonging to a Palestinian from the village of Sarra located 10 kilometers south of the City of Nablus. The violation has taken place on the 9th of February, 2011, as Jil’ad colonists attacked the land of Mr. Mohammad Faris Hasan Ibrahim and uprooted and stole 18 small olive trees as well as 10 almond trees which were planted on Mohammad’s 6-dunums land. Mohammad is one of a group of farmers benefiting from LRC “Land rehabilitation project” implementing in the village of Sarra within the program of “Improving Livelihood in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (West Bank)”, which funded by Netherlands Representative Office (NRO). This program is being implemented in partnership with a group of local NGOs working in the agricultural sector under PARC’s management Mr. Mohammad expressed the following to LRC’s Field Researcher: "When I went o my land on the morning of February 9th, 2011, I was surprised to see that the recently-planted trees were uprooted and stolen along with my ax and small wagon ". It has to be noted that By-Pass Road 60 separates between the Jil’ad outpost and the land of Mr. Mohammad. |
