Broiler Farms

Licensing of Broilers farm and requiremnets:

First: General conditions and documents:

i. Ownership certifictae or rental contract approved as per adopted reulgations

ii. A permission certificate from local authorities councils or municiplilpties

iii. Submit a copy of personal ID"s or a permenant residential certficate

iv. Fill out and submit a completed license application form

v. Submit an official report from the district veterinary services department approving the appropraitness of poultry farm, the descritions of the appropraite farm are as follows:

 

1. Farm should be (500 m) far away from other farms from all directions

2. Wind directions of the farm area should be taken into consideration

3. Farm should includes the following facilities:

 

- A n office space for the managment and workers inclusive healy services

- A firm closed feeds warehouse of temprature, mouses, birds and isolated from the main bird shed.

- The bird shed should be not less than about  3 meters in hieght.

-  Water Pools for sterlizations

- Fencing for farm protection

- The surrounding areas should be free of any crops, waste materials, and should be covered by cement or other materials .

 

Second: Poultry Raising Conditions:

- Should be allocated for only one type of broilers and with same age

- Should not allow domestic animals of entering inside broilers farm

- Take out all birds residues and desinfect farm when the old bird cycle is accomplished

- Provide drinkers with health water and good feeds qualityts

- Provide farms with all need equipments (i.e., heaters, thermostates, scales, etc).

- Make available a closed garpage pin for getting ride of farm"s waste

 

Third: Legal conditions:

- Farm should be fully monitored and lay under the responsibilities of the General Directorate of Veterinary services and their authorized staff.

- Not allowed using artificial Hormones definetly

- Not allowed using antiboitics prioir broilers marketing unless adeqaute period of time is passed (withdrwal period)

- Inform the General Directorate of Veterinary with all constraints related to poultry farms

- The license application will be processed and studied by a specilized committee and their final decison will be taken accordingly

- License fees should be also paid accordingly
