Brief on the Public Extension Service System:

The MOA is the main providers of the agricultural extension services in Plaestine. It serves a significant number of farmers all over  the West Bank and Gaza strip distrist. There are 17 agricultural directorates located in the main cities of the WB&GS as well as 38 extension units scattered at  different cluster villages. Approximately 270 extension officers are currenty involved in the extension services provision. The extension officers are responding to farmers needs in daily and regualr basis and provide an updated information on modern farming tenchiques, diseases control, in addition to a wide ranges of technical advises. Indeed, the extension services are provided for free and mainly funded by the Government. It is considered as one of the most important agricultural services provied to framers. However, very limited budget is allocated for the extension sevices in Palestine.
